The state's own list, as of October 24, 2026, counts 1,894 licensed facilities with 52,256 beds; 1,022 of them have 20 or more, the smallest size HUD's Section 232 program insures. HUD's active-loan file shows 66 FHA-insured assisted living loans in Wisconsin with $350.6 million outstanding as of September 30, 2026.
